DIRECTIONS TO DIERINGER HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY

From North or South on Hiway 167 using new Lake Tapps Parkway:
1. Take the 8th St. E./Milton exit
2. Turn East onto 8th Street E.
3. Follow across the valley and up the hill onto Lake Tapps Parkway
4. Go past Top Foods shopping center
5. Turn left onto 16th St. E. at the stoplight.
6. Turn right onto 9th St. (there is a Union 76 gas station on the corner)
7. Continue on 9th St. for approximately 3 miles.
8. Turn left onto 34th St. S.E. (a sign indicates Dieringer Heights Elementary to the left)
9. Dieringer Heights is at the end of the road on the left
From the North:
1. Take either I-5 or 167 South to Hiway 18 East.
2. Take Hiway 18 East to the exit for Auburn Way/Enumclaw/164
3. Take the exit, and at the bottom of the ramp, turn left at the light on to Auburn Way South.
4. Proceed on Auburn Way South through 3 traffic signals.
5. At the third signal (M street), get in the right hand lane and prepare to turn.
6. After crossing the intersection at M Street, take the right hand exit onto Howard Rd.
(the sign says Howard Rd/R Street). There is a Walgreen’s drug store where the turn is.
7. Continue on Howard Rd. about 300-400 yards to the "T" intersection. You will
pass a roller-skating rink on the right.
8. Take a right hand turn at the "T" intersection onto R Street.
9. Continue on this road out of Auburn and up the hill for approx. 4 miles.
10. At the crest of the hill turn left onto 9th St. There is a small shopping center with
a Union 76 gas station on the corner.
11. Continue on 9th Street approx. 3 miles.
12. Turn left onto 34th St. S.E. (a sign indicates Dieringer Heights Elementary to the left)
13. Dieringer Heights is at the end of the road on the left
From the South:
1. Take I-5 to Hiway 512 exit (Puyallup).
2. Take Hiway 512 from Puyallup to Hiway 167 N.
3. Take Hiway 167 N. to Hiway 410 East to Bonney Lake.
4. Take the 166th Street E. exit off Hiway 410.
5. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left at the stop sign towards Sumner.
6. Proceed on this road approx 5 miles up the hill out of Sumner.
7. Pass through the first major intersection that you come to (fire station, Chevron mini-mart) and
continue on this road.
8. At the stoplight, turn right on 16th St. E., towards N. Lake Tapps.
9. You will pass Lake Tapps Elementary School on your left. About 1/2 mile past Lake Tapps
elementary, you will turn right onto 9th Street. There is a small shopping center with a Union 76 gas
station on the corner.
10. Continue on 9th Street approx. 3 miles.
12. Turn left onto 34th St. S.E. (a sign indicates Dieringer Heights Elementary to the left)
13. Dieringer Heights is at the end of the road on the left
