Early Childhood Special Education

Dieringer provides Special Education preschool services for children, ages 3-5, who qualify as eligible. Special Education preschool services are typically a blend of several services, which might include speech, physical and occupational therapy as well as integrated classroom opportunities with disablrd and non-disabled peers.

Eligible 3-5 year olds are identified through child find, which is the district's process of identifying students, not yet attending school, who might have a handicapping condition and possibly be in need of special education services. Child find screenings are scheduled for various dates during the school year.
