student safety

The safety of all students is of utmost importance to Dieringer staff. We practice regular drills for fire, earthquake and intruders on campus. We also conduct emergency evacuation school bus drills 3 times a year. Student emergency supplies are stored in each classroom and accompany students when they go outside for emergency drills. Each building has a safety committee and our PTA also has a safety committee. Parents are encouraged to participate in safety discussions with their children as well as participate with our PTA.

In addition to the safety committee, the district has organized a crisis response team designed to provide emergency counseling services in the event of the death of a student, staff member or other major crisis involving persons in our schools.
