Budget Extension Update

On September 18th school districts received a notification from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction that stated, “It is important that all of the F-195F (4 year budget projection) submissions include the impact of collective bargaining agreements that were entered into for the 2018-19 school year and beyond. If the initial year (2018-19) of your four-year budget needs to be revised, you must do so through an F-200 budget extension.”

On September 28th the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction issued a clarification to the  September 18th publication stating that school districts are not required to submit an updated F-195F and the associated F-200 budget extension if the District is not changing its total budgeted expenditures.

Since the Dieringer School District is not increasing budgeted expenditures a F-200 budget extension is not appropriate; therefore, the District will not be submitting a F-200 budget extension as previously expected. The District will post a report on the website that reflects the district’s originally budgeted and revised budgeted accounts. We are working hard to get this information posted on our website as quickly as possible while balancing all the other requirements that are mandated by the state at this time of the year.
