FACILITY USE CHARGES

Surplus Items & Equipment

The district periodically disposes of obsolete or surplus items, equipment, and vehicles following approval from the school board.  The public may review and bid on available items through two methods:

State of Washington Department of Enterprise Services

Surplus items and equipment are primarily sent to the State of Washington’s Department of Enterprise Services, which then sells the items to the public via a digital storefront or surplus auctions.

To review and buy/bid on items through DES, please follow the instructions below to register as a buyer:

  1. Go to GovDeals.com.
  2. Select Buyer Registration in the upper right corner.
  3. Complete your Account Information, Business Information (select "End User" if you are registering as an individual), and Preferences. Agree to the Terms of Service and Submit.
  4. Once you receive your temporary password and log in to GovDeals for the first time, you will be a registered bidder.

Public Surplus

Items that are not accepted by DES are typically sold through the governmental surplus website Public Surplus. 

To review and bid on items through Public Surplus, please follow the instructions below to register as a buyer:

  1. Go to the Public Surplus Registration page.
  2. Complete your account information and preferences.  Read and accept the Buyer Agreement.
  3. You will receive login information via email.
