Enrollment FAQs

To start online enrollment and verification, guardians must setup an account in Skyward.

Families that are new, that have never had children enrolled in the district, will start a brand new Skyward account. Families that have a student enrolled and wish to enroll another family member will login using their current Skyward Family Access account credentials.

New Families Skyward View:

If you moved WITHIN the school district, simply log into your Skyward Family Access account.

Once logged in:

• Select "My Account" (next to your name at the top of the page between your name and "Exit")
• Key in your updated address and "Save"

If you moved OUT of the district, but hope to stay enrolled in the district, you will need to follow the instructions for students that want to waiver in.

• Waiver In/Choice Transfer

Documentation can be uploaded by taking a picture or by scanning the documents to upload prior to submitting the online enrollment application. If preferred or needed, families can indicate that they will bring enrollment documentation to the school. Documentation can also be delivered or mailed directly to the school. The enrollment process is not considered complete until the school has received all required enrollment documentation. Families can contact the school office if they need assistance.

• Yes, non-resident students can apply for enrollment consideration, although acceptance is based on numerous factors (including space available, etc.).

• Families must complete a Choice Transfer Release form with their resident school district first, and then complete Dieringer School District waiver in form next. For more information about other transfer application requirements please visit the transfers and waivers page.  

• After an application is submitted, the school will review the request. If your application is approved, then you can go online and complete online enrollment. Online enrollment is not required until a transfer has been approved.  

Once an online enrollment application is completed and submitted by the parent/guardian, an email confirmation will be sent to the email address used during the enrollment process.

If you have not submitted all required documents, your enrollment will not be considered complete until this paperwork is received.

You will need to enroll your student as a NEW student to the Dieringer School District (New Student Online Enrollment) if you do not have any family members currently attending the DSD.

If your family has another student currently enrolled, you will enroll your incoming student through Skyward Family Access.

I have documents that I still need to submit to the school for enrollment, where do I send them?

You will need to contact the school, and let them know that you have the required documents in order to fully complete the online enrollment process. You can snail mail the document to the school, address information is available on our website or you can contact the office staff and email the documents to the office staff.

Families will need an email address and required enrollment documentation.

Families need to have access to the internet and a laptop, computer or smartphone. If you don’t have access to any of these devices or the internet, you are invited to visit your neighborhood school to enroll online on one of our devices.

Required enrollment documents include proof of birth, address verification documentation, and immunization/shot records. It is advisable to have the contact information available for your emergency contacts when you enroll.

The Dieringer School District serves students from preschool through the 8th grade.

• Homeschool students are educated by their parents in the home. When parents sign a declaration of Intent to Home School, the parent/ guardian that signs this is indicating that they take full responsibility for their students educational services and they understand the laws regulating home based instruction. These families are not provided with curriculum, books, etc. from the district where they reside. They can however enroll part-time to access services at their neighborhood school.
• Online School is different than homeschool. Many districts in Washington offer online learning. These are schools like: WAVA K12, Omak, Mary M Knight, Quillayute Valley, etc. Each PUBLIC school district that hosts online school has their own enrollment process. These student require a Choice transfer to leave Dieringer to attend another school district.
