QUORUM NOTICE: There may be a quorum of board members at the Eighth Grade Celebration on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 6:00pm at Bonney Lake High School, 10920 199th Avenue Court East, Bonney Lake, WA 98391. No action will take place.

June 26, 2025 there will be a Study Session at 6:30pm at the Dieringer School District office, 1320 178th Avenue East, Lake Tapps, WA 98391.

June 30, 2025 there will be a Regular School Board Meeting (hybrid) at 6:00pm at the Dieringer School District, located at 1320 178th Avenue East, Lake Tapps, WA 98391.

The Dieringer School District Board of Directors governs the school district, setting school and district policies within the guidelines of the law and the Washington State Board of Education.

School Board meetings and study sessions are open to the public. Regular board meetings typically take place the last Monday of each month, and are held in person and virtually. Several study sessions are held throughout the year and are in person only.

NEWS

The Dieringer School District will have three open positions on its School Board for the next election. The candidate filing period with Pierce County is May 5-9.

Members of the School Board are elected from a specific district. Open positions include District 1, District 3, and District 4. Those who run to represent a specific District must live within that District's boundary. Here is a map of Dieringer's Director Districts. 

Voting takes place in the August Primary and November General Elections.

Board of Directors

The School Board consists of five volunteer elected officials voted in by the Dieringer School District community. Each member serves a four-year term and must live within the school district boundaries and within the director district they serve. School Director responsibilities include:

1) To set policies within the guidelines of the law and the State Board of Education.

2) To provide fiscal oversight.

3) Be responsible for school district governance through the hiring and evaluation of the superintendent.

4) To evaluate progress toward district strategic plan goals. 

5) To serve as a liaison among families, schools, and community.
